“SILAFEST”, The College of Tourism and the Tourist Organisation of Veliko Gradiste have a pleasure to invite you to the round table with the topic: “The Protected Natural Values of the DanubeBasin parts in Serbia and its Ecotourism Potentials”, held on Tuesday, 1st September 2009, at 12 a.m., in the stateroom of Veliko Gradiste Town hall.

The general programme of the round table will contain the following presentations:

Mr. Carlo Manzzano, the director of Austrian National Park “Donau-Auen” will also give his contribution to the round table on this occasion as special guest of the Festival.

President of the Jurz of the First International Festival of Touris and Ecology films SILVER LAKE TOURFILM FESTIVAL - SILAFEST '09 will be Mr.

   
   
Colin H. Arthur
 
Born in Guilford, England, in a family of artists. His father was a painter and his mother a sculptor. He  pursued his studies at the School of Art in his native place. He met Stanley Kubrick at the time when he was working at Madame Tussauds Wax Figures Museum and he made for  him the masks in the film 2001: A Spatial Odyssey . This meeting was defining for his future, being fascinated by the film, especially by SFmovies. He enriched his knowledge in computers, electronics, mechanics and hydraulics, which allowed him to create a  fantastic universe.
     

In almost hundred films for the  the  production of which he  has brought his contribution since 1967, he worked with actors like David Niven, Peter O’Toole, Trevor Howard, Peter Sellers, Sean Conery, Vincent price, Burt Lancaster and others.

In 1990 he moved to Madrid where he created the studio for special effects “Dream Factory Spain”.

1995    Cannes Film Festival: Prize for creating special effects in advertising film
1998    Berlin: Prize for effects obtaine by creating a mechanical rhinoceros n the publicity film for the car Renault Kangoo
1998    New York:  Golgen Priye of the Producers Association, for talent and creativity in creating the mechanical rhinoceros in theadvertising  film for the car Renault Kangoo  
1999  Goya Prize:  nomination for making up effects in the film “Abre los ojos” by Pedro Almodovar
2002   Caceres, Fantastic and horror film week:  Contribution to the special effects industry
2002     Badajoz Film Festival: Special mention of the jury for “El espantapájaros”
2002      Peñiscola, International Festival of Comedy Film: Prize for the audience of the film  “El espantapájaros”
2002      New Film Maker’s Platform Madrid:  prize for artistic  direction for the film “El espantapájaros”
2002       Goya Prizes, nomination for the best cartoon effects and special effects in the film “Hable con ella” by Pedro Alomodovar

    From 114 films received, the Selection Committee has chosen 52 films for the official programme of the festival.
