At the foot of the Carpathian and Homolje mountains, at the entrance to the Iron gates, caught between the blue Danube and the auriferous Pek, lies the town of Veliko Gradište, also called the hallway to Đerdap. It was founded in Roman ages, and it had a dynamic and colourful history.
The municipality of Veliko Gradište is located in northeast of Serbia, and belongs to the Danube Valley region (It occupies the area of 344 km2). Its territory is populated by about 27,000 inhabitants, living in 26 communities.
The centre of the municipality is Veliko Gradište which has about 6,500 inhabitants. It represents the administrative, economic and cultural centre of the municipality. Over 5,000 inhabitants of the municipality are currently working abroad (mostly in West Europe countries).
Leading though the southern part of the town, there are motorway Belgrade-Kladovo and the railroad. The municipality is 110km far from Belgrade, which is only one hour of driving. Yet, its main connection with other towns is motorway Belgrade-Đerdap. Veliko Gradište is also connected with other towns through good asphalted lines.
Veliko Gradište is a harbour for all the foreign boats on the Danube sailing from the Black Sea ports to Vienna and the other way round.

Serbian Association of Employers |
| |
|
|
|
| |
Serbian Association of Employers is organization that unites employers,
companies of all forms of ownership and of all sizes in order to articulate
their common goals and interests, and with the purpose to achieve, through
the social dialogue, the best possible position for
employers in relation to government and trade unions.
Serbian Association of Employers was formed and registered in 1994, as a social organization. |
|
 |
| |
|
|
|
| |
As a voluntary organization SEA above all strives to:
- represent and promote common interests of employers related to their
economic, social and other needs before government and trade unions;
- provide relevant information and services to its members and
strengthen and coordinate their mutual links,
- inform the public for the purpose of better understanding positions of employers.
|
| |
|
|
|
| |
Our strategy
- Education of all segments of society for further explanation of role of
employers’ organization in all parts of social-economic life.
- Change of traditional belief that government does not need to consult
employers when bringing laws and regulations.
- Inclusion of employers into work of local self-government bodies as
decision-makers in process of development and building local infrastructure
necessary for successful and efficient business.
- Modernization of VET education in accordance with real needs of
economy. SAE advocates maximal coherence between school system and curricula
on one side, and economy and participation of employers in education
of present and future labor force on other side.
- Introduction of additional tax benefits for employers in sectors with
insufficient labor force and possibility for development and progress.
- Membership expansion - we shall encourage to join us and include in
our activities also all those employers who are still not our members, to view
our efforts and express their problems, so we could verify these problems and
articulate them as joint denominator of all employers.
- International activities bring us closer to international standards and particular experiences of similar and congenial organizations.
